Apple släpper ny iPad med stöd för penna

Behåller gamla priset Apple släppte i dag på sitt utbildningsevent en ny iPad. Det mesta känner vi igen sedan tidigare, allt från pris, form och prestanda är mer eller mindre exakt samma som tidigare. Vilket ärligt talat är helt ok.

Apple ryktas visa upp en billigare iPad nästa vecka

Under sitt utbildnings-evenemang Nästa vecka arrangerar Apple ett evenemang i Chicago med fokus på utbildning och då kommer man eventuellt att visa upp en ny iPad-modell rapporterar nyhetsbyrån Bloomberg. Förutom en ny iPad så uppger Bloombergs källor att Apple kommer att visa upp ny mjukvara som riktas mot lärande och utbildning. Det har tidigare ryktats om att Apple ska släppa en ny iPad med en 9,7 tum stor skärm för 259 dollar vilket är 70 dollar billigare än den nuvarande iPaden med samma skärmstorlek.

Nu kommer Microsofts webbläsare Edge till iPad

Betaversion släpps nu Förra året släppte Microsoft sin webbläsare Edge till iPhone och nu är denna även på gång till iPad skriver The Verge. Microsoft har uppdaterat preview-versionen av Edge till iOS så att denna nu även har stöd för iPad. För tillfället är det bara användaren som testar Edge på iOS som har tillgång till preview-versionen.

Nu funkar Google Assistant på iPad

Nu behöver du inte bara prata med Siri Google Assistant släpptes till iOS i samband med Google I/O 2017, men då var den smarta röstassistenten endast tillgänglig för iPhone-användare. Nu har Assistant äntligen anlänt till iPad och den kommer med lite iPad-specifik funktionalitet som bland annat split screen-läge. Utöver det kan iPad-versionen göra samma saker som motsvarigheten till iPhone, som bland annat att svara på frågor, skicka meddelanden och kontrollera smarta hemmet.

Apple har samlat ihop vad de tycker var bäst under året och får de bestämma så är årets bästa iPhone-app Calm, en app där du ska lugna ner dig en smula och hitta det där inre lugnet. På iPad är den bästa appen Affinity Photo, en fotoredigeringsapp som jag måste säga är riktigt imponerande.

Apple Dominates Enterprise Activations in Q3

Apple is continuing to make significant strides in the enterprise market and through the third quarter of this year (June 1 to September 30) the company was responsible for 66% of all enterprise devices activated. The company’s iOS platform, which includes iPhones and iPads, led the way in the market and rose 2% compared to the 64% enterprise activations in the second quarters. Interestingly Apple made the most headway in the tablet market, with the company’s iPad accounting for 71% of all enterprise slates activated in Q3.

Apple continues to sell huge amounts of iPhones, despite missing optimistic analyst prediction the company is thriving and making vastly more money than any other mobile brand. CEO Tim Cook was in good mood after Cupertino’s fiscal fourth quarter earnings call, saying the company is taking the fight to Android and starting to make serious headway in China. Cook claimed that a massive 30% of all iPhone sales in the last quarter came from consumers who were switching to Apple’s iOS from Android.
