Apple börjar sälja vissa iPhones i Tyskland igen

Fast bara versioner med modem-chip från Qualcomm I början av året tvingade en tysk domstol Apple att sluta sälja vissa iPhone-modeller i Tyskland efter juridiska krav från Qualcomm. Nu har dock Apple hittat ett sätt att runda det förbudet och återigen börja sälja de aktuella modellerna på den tyska marknaden. Det handlade om iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 samt iPhone 8 Plus som var försedda med modemchip från Intel som Apple inte längre fick sälja i Tyskland.

Inget USB-C än Det har ryktats fram och tillbaka huruvida nästa iPhone kommer utrustas med USB-C eller ej. Och nu verkar det se lite brunt ut på den fronten. Enligt en rapport från Macotakara kommer Apple inte göra hoppet till USB-C i år.

Apple sägs ha börja utveckla egna modem till iPhone

Inför 5G-åldern? Förra året ryktades det om att Apple skulle utveckla egna modemchip till iPhone och detta verkar vara något som stämmer uppger flera källor. Enligt källor nyhetsbyrån Reuters varit i kontakt med så har Apples interna avdelning för hårdvarudesign nu även tagit in anställda som pysslar med att designa modemchip.

Googles senaste reklam jämför Pixel 3 med Iphone X

Redan under presentationen av Pixel 3 och Pixel 3 XL visade Google en kamerajämförelse mellan Iphone X och deras egna nya telefoner. Fotografiet från Iphone X var mörkt och utan detaljer, medan Night Sight i Pixel 3 resulterade i en långt ljusare och bättre bild. I sin senaste reklam för Pixel 3 jämför Google återigen deras kamera med den i Iphone X, som de den här gången kallar ”Phone X”.

Betydligt mer minne för samma peng Snart är det, som ni säkert inte har missat, premiär för Samsung Galaxy S10. Årets upplaga kommer i tre varianter, precis som iPhone, vilket gör det rätt enkelt att jämföra de två företagens erbjudanden. Det ska sägas att dessa priser för S10 är läckta priser som gäller för Nederländerna, alltså inte priser som är bekräftade av Samsung.

Vi borde kunna räkna med sänkta iPhone-priser i Sverige

Man kan ju hoppas Den svenska kronan är en av anledningarna till att iPhone-priserna i Sverige är smått galna. Men det beror också på att Apple inte har kompenserat en gnutta mot den svenska kronan, vilket nu kan vara på väg att förändras. Så här säger Tim Cook till Reuters: “When you look at foreign currencies and then particularly those markets that weakened over the last year those (iPhone price) increases were obviously more and so as we’ve gotten into January and assessed the macroeconomic condition in some of those markets we’ve decided to go back to more commensurate with what our local prices were a year ago in hopes of helping the sales in those areas.

iPhone-försäljningen sjönk med 15 procent

Men allt annat pekar uppåt på Apple Strax efter nyår gick Tim Cook ut och berättade att man skulle missa målen för det senaste kvartalet. Anledningarna var många och Kina nämndes som den största anledningen. Sedan dess har vi lärt oss att problemen in Kina är lite mer allmänna än ett problem bara för Apple, även om konkurrenter som Huawei går bra.

En nyupptäckt bugg gör så att din Iphone kan avlyssnas – utan att du vet om det. Buggen gör det möjligt att komma åt mikrofonen och kameran på en annan Iphone via Facetime-applikationen, enligt CNN.Apple säger att man kommer åtgärda problemet i en ny uppdatering ”senare i veckan”..

Google hånar iPhone X i ny reklam

Snyggt och lite fräckt Googles funktion Night Sight verkar riktigt mäktig och Google är, med rätt, stolta över funktionen. I den här reklamen jämför man en bild tagen med en Pixel 3 med en iPhone XS. Man skriver inte iPhone stort utan har "glömt" i:et för att inte behöva göra en helt korrekt jämförelse.

Apple is continuing to make significant strides in the enterprise market and through the third quarter of this year (June 1 to September 30) the company was responsible for 66% of all enterprise devices activated. The company’s iOS platform, which includes iPhones and iPads, led the way in the market and rose 2% compared to the 64% enterprise activations in the second quarters. Interestingly Apple made the most headway in the tablet market, with the company’s iPad accounting for 71% of all enterprise slates activated in Q3.

Apple continues to sell huge amounts of iPhones, despite missing optimistic analyst prediction the company is thriving and making vastly more money than any other mobile brand. CEO Tim Cook was in good mood after Cupertino’s fiscal fourth quarter earnings call, saying the company is taking the fight to Android and starting to make serious headway in China. Cook claimed that a massive 30% of all iPhone sales in the last quarter came from consumers who were switching to Apple’s iOS from Android.
